Hippo Leather Chukka Boot

Last: Soller

Our Chukka Boots feature a beautifully grained hippopotamus leather that is ethically sourced and certified by CITIES (Convention on International Trade In Endangered Species).

The boots feature a hand-sewn apron that pays homage to the classic American work boot but with a bit more finesse. The boots are Goodyear welted with a double sole and storm welt that keeps the aesthetic rugged and will make the boots very hard-wearing.

These boots are made on Carmina’s Soller last which features a round tip and long look as well as regular fitting at the instep and toe area.

*We recommend sizing a half size down from either the Rain or Sineu.

Peccary Leather Penny Loafer

Last: Sineu

Our Penny Loafer features are rich chocolate brown peccary, which is more typically seen in luxury gloves.

The leather features a unique pin grain and is extremely supple while also being very durable. The loafers feature a minimalistic strap and hand-sewn apron that provides a lovely visual texture.

The loafers feature a single Oak-bark tanned leather sole from John. Rendenbach ("JR") in Germany. Because of the tight grain of an oak-bark tanned leather sole, they wear longer and require more infrequent replacing. Leather with the JR-Brand label is waterproof and extremely abrasion resistant, tough yet flexible, very comfortable to wear, and optically distinguished by its attractive grain and warm, woody color.

This style is made on Carmina’s Sineu last. This almond-like last is an extremely versatile shape. We have crafted a highly adaptable last very much like the Rain’s fit. The instep in the Sineu last is surprisingly forgiving and gives great arch adjustment. Style and fit-wise, this last is in the middle ground between Rain and Forest.

Patina Calf Balmoral Oxford

Last: Rain

Our Balmoral Oxford is hand-painted in New York by world-renowned patina artist, Greg Park.

The shoes are made in unfinished crust leather and then deliver to Greg where our custom patina is applied. The patina is very dynamic, depending on the light they look either brown, mahogany or sometimes even red. You can also notice the little "light area" around the eyelets and the holes on the broguing. These cap toes are differentiated from more standard cap toes by their sweeping horizontal pattern that has been popularized by Japanese bespoke shoemakers.

This style is made on Carmina’s Rain last which is one of their most versatile and appreciated lasts. This last is always our recommended last for someone looking for their first Carmina pair. With a subtly squared-off toe and regular fitting both in the instep and toe area, its proportions make it ideal for casual models with an elegant look. Moreover, it provides a very balanced space throughout the foot.
